Not all glass is created equal. When safety matters, tempered and laminated glass are the industry standards. At Helping Hands Glass and Mirror, we provide and install code compliant, impact resistant glass solutions for homes, businesses and public spaces. Whether you're designing a high-traffic storefront, upgrading railings or adding security to a residential feature, our tempered and laminated glass options deliver the strength and performance your project needs.
Laminated Glass
Laminated glass is made by sandwiching a durable interlayer (usualyl PVB) between two or more sheets of glass. If broken, the pieces stay bonded to the interlayer, maintaining the panel's structure and security.
Best for:
Storefronts & Impact Zones
Soundproofing applications
Overhead glass (canopies, skylights)
High-rise & Hurricane rated windows
Safety glazing near stairs or drop offs
Tempered Glass
Tempered glass is heat-treated to be 4-5 times stronger than standard (annealed) glass. If broken, it shatters into small, dull pieces rather than sharp shards making it ideal for areas where human contact or breakage risk is higher.
Best for:
Shower doors
Glass railings
Entry doors & sidelites
Tabletops & Shelves
Pool fencing & Balcony Enclosures
